FFGene Tungsten Slotted Beads

FFGene Tungsten Slotted Beads are tungsten beads with a longitudinal slot on one side and a hole on the other. The slot makes it easier to pass the bead over the hook bend, making this format especially practical for jig constructions and situations where a conventional central hole makes mounting difficult.

Construction and use

Tungsten provides compact ballast, helping to weight small flies as well. Pass the bead over the bend, place the holed side toward the eye, and check that it seats securely on the selected hook. Always check the slot width and opening against the eye and bend of the particular hook. After seating the bead, build a suitable thread and material base behind it to limit movement.
